A mentor and a young person talking quietly on porch steps

Walk with us — the third rung

Five Private Conversations. One Clearer Path Forward.

The 5-Day Private Mentoring Challenge is a free, application-based experience for parents and mentors who want help identifying their next step — with practical exercises between sessions and no obligation to purchase anything afterward.

The five conversations

Each session has one question and one thing you walk away holding. The destination stays the same. The route changes.

Day 1

SEE

“What is actually happening?”

Separate what you know from what you fear, assume, or still need to learn.

YOU LEAVE WITH: My Starting Point

Day 2

SELF

“What happens inside me?”

Recognise your own cycle — trigger, meaning, reaction — without blaming yourself.

YOU LEAVE WITH: My Response Pattern

Day 3

CONNECT

“Can we change the conversation?”

Prepare and rehearse one real conversation: observe, care, ask, listen, hold the boundary.

YOU LEAVE WITH: My Connection Conversation

Day 4

UNDERSTAND

“What may sit beneath the behavior?”

Look under one behavior without excusing harm or pretending to know. A hypothesis is not a diagnosis.

Day 5

NEXT RUNG

“What is the next appropriate action?”

Choose the smallest meaningful step you can own — and name the support you'll pursue.

What we will and won't do

Clear promises, plainly stated

  • Your guide will not diagnose you or the young person.
  • No one will promise safety, recovery, sobriety, reconciliation, or any particular outcome.
  • You will never be advised to delay professional, medical, legal, or emergency help.
  • Sessions and messages are not monitored for crises, and are not an emergency line.
  • Completing the challenge creates no obligation to purchase anything.

How it works

  1. 1

    Apply

Tell us a little about yourself and the young person you're walking beside. The first question is about immediate safety — please answer it honestly.

  2. 2

Human review and a short fit call

A real person reviews every application, and we may arrange a 15-minute conversation to check that mentoring is the right fit. Applying does not guarantee acceptance.

  3. 3

    Five conversations

If accepted, you'll receive the Participant Workbook and schedule five private sessions of 45–60 minutes within 14 days, with short practical exercises between them.

  4. 4

    Your next step

You'll leave with a clearer sense of your next rung. For some, a longer guided apprenticeship may be appropriate — by private invitation only, and never an obligation.

This is an educational mentoring program — not therapy, treatment, or crisis support, and applying does not create an emergency-support relationship. If someone may be in immediate danger, don't wait for a response from us — get help now.
